This retreat is thoughtfully designed to create a balance between rest and action, offering you the opportunity to reconnect with your body and gain deeper insights about yourself. In the serene surroundings of Nicaragua, you’ll have the space to explore yoga and Self at your own pace, supported by a nurturing leader and intentional community.
Each day of the retreat focuses on one chakra and yoga philosophy, guiding you through a journey of self-discovery. You’ll explore how these energy centers influence your whole bing through daily yoga practices, mindfulness exercises, and meditations.
This retreat is about more than personal growth, it’s about meaningful contribution. A $108 of your retreat investment will be donated directly to local non-profit organizations, supporting their impactful work in the local community. In addition, we’ll engage in volunteer activity and cultural exchange to contribute in a tangible way.
During this retreat, we’ll partner with grassroots organizations in the Aposentillo community to support their impactful work. Together, we’ll offer our time, energy, and funds raised through the retreat to make a meaningful exchange.
One afternoon, we’ll volunteer at Tucan Learning Center, an afterschool program helping children develop English skills. For these students, learning English significantly improves their future employment opportunities in the tourism industry.
Another afternoon, we’ll attend an arts & craft workshop organized by Mujeres Que Mueven, a women’s empowerment organization. This workshop is an opportunity to interact, converse and build relationship with the local women as we learn about their culture and their art skills.
For each retreat participant, $108 will be donated directly to these organizations. Additionally, if you have extra space in your suitcase, consider bringing notebooks, pens, crayons, other school supplies to donate to the children’s program, and gently used workout clothes, yoga mats, and/or tennis shoes to donate to the women.
The retreat is situated in Northwestern Nicaragua, within the beautiful province of Chinandega. The municipality, El Viejo, is known for its stunning natural beauty, friendly locals, pristine beaches, and world-class surfing waves. The nearest city, Chinandega, is just a 40-minute drive away.
The retreat center is perched on a breathtaking clifftop oasis overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean with breathtaking sunsets every night and the iconic waves of the region.
The retreat center sits between two pristine beaches known for their world-class surf. But the true magic lies within the property itself, among the vibrant gardens, peaceful pathways, and serene yoga shala designed to inspire tranquility.
The yoga shala, hidden within the canopy of majestic banyan trees, is a sacred sanctuary of the property. With sweeping views of two beaches, refreshing ocean breezes, and the soothing sound of waves crashing below.

This retreat is designed for those seeking connection, authenticity, and immersion, not a five-star luxury experience. Our accommodations are rustic yet charming, rooted in sustainability, and surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of northern Nicaragua.
If your idea of a meaningful getaway includes waking up to ocean views, practicing yoga among the treetops, enjoying locally sourced meals, connecting with the land and its people, and embracing the simplicity of life in harmony with nature, this retreat is perfect for you. Here, the focus is on intention, community, and aligning with purpose, not extravagance.
While there is no hot water for showers, the warm Nicaraguan climate means you’ll never really miss it, the refreshing, cool showers are perfect for the heat.
Additionally, the retreat center is home to several friendly dogs and cats who roam the property, adding to its charm and welcoming energy. Animal lovers will enjoy their company, and those who prefer a little space will find the animals easygoing and respectful.
These unique elements help create an authentic, rustic experience, bringing you closer to the land and its natural beauty.
At the retreat, every meal is a celebration of the land and community. The chefs craft hearty, homemade, family-style dishes using fresh, organic ingredients sourced from their on-site permaculture garden and local neighbors. Each plate is prepared with intention, aligning with the natural environment and supporting the local community.
Dietary needs? No problem, meals can be tailored to accommodate any preferences or restrictions.

"Reika is an amazing yoga instructor, and also an incredible yoga retreat host! She was so organized with all of the logistics of her retreat, and also had great communication with all of her retreat attendees. I will definitely attend more of her yoga retreats. She went above and beyond by including themes in her retreat and provided materials to help support our understanding of her daily workshops. I have previously been to multiple yoga retreats, and Reika’s yoga retreat has, by far, been the best retreat I’ve ever been, too!!!!!"
-Michell
"I was privileged to be a participant at Reika's recent Yoga retreat in Nicaragua. I wasn't surprised by the excellent Yoga instruction, well-tailored to meet the needs of each participant, with carefully crafted sequences and a thorough understanding of anatomy and options for different bodies. After all, that's what I've experienced at Reika's classes, in multiple studios, for years. That instruction was enhanced by a very thoroughly prepared retreat which included not only yoga, but also "align with purpose" content, volunteering and excursions. Many hours of thought and work went into the custom workbook and journal we were given, the agenda, the selection of the lovely and well-run retreat center, and much more. Again, I highly recommend Reika's yoga classes and retreats!"

"I attended an amazing retreat with Reika in Nicaragua. Truly a gifted yoga instructor. I highly recommend her and her retreats."
-Seth
"Reika is the kindest, most thoughtful human and yoga instructor! I love her anatomy focus. My body always feels better after taking class with her. I had the pleasure of completing my YTT and joining a retreat in Nicaragua with Reika. The level of detail and organization in both experiences was unparalleled - you won't find many others that are facing the world as a humble change maker."
-Jordan
