Yoga Nidra with Sunny

Yoga Nidra is a form of meditation based on ancient eastern practices and belief systems. Translated to “yogic sleep”, yoga nidra is a journey into body sensing, breath awareness, and consciousness of emotions and thoughts. It can result in deep relaxation, yet acute awareness at the same time. It is quite the experience!

 We will begin with a few rounds of Surya Namaskar A (Sun Salutation A) to allow for gentle body movement before resting in stillness through the guided meditation for ~35 minutes.

Props:

Blankets, blocks, and bolsters will all be helpful, but are not required. You will want to use whatever helps you get into a comfortable position lying on your back for a total of ~35 minutes. Students have said it is useful to wear socks, or to have a blanket in a position that will help your feet stay at a comfortable temperature.
