In this workshop we will cover evidence-based physical therapy concepts to prevent yoga-related low back injuries, and what to do when a student comes to you with a lower back injury. After covering the basic anatomy of the lower back we will cover common lower back injuries. Lastly, we will review poses/sequences to be taught with caution to avoid injury; and how to incorporate cross-training into your classes to ensure adequate strength and range are available to protect the low back.
