Workshop description:

As our students age, their bodies change—and our teaching should too. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to safely and confidently guide older adults through yoga, with practical insights from a physical therapist.

We’ll explore age-related changes in balance, strength, and mobility, and how to adapt asana for common conditions like osteoporosis, sarcopenia, joint replacements, and neurological diagnoses.

Walk away with evidence-based tools to create yoga classes that support healthy aging, build resilience, and empower every student.

Learn how to adapt yoga practices for older adults with guidance from a physical therapist. Explore balance, strength, and mobility strategies to support students with osteoporosis, joint replacements, and neurological conditions. Teach with confidence, safety, and care.

You can receive 2 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Hours when you attend this workshop.
