Workshop description:

Designed for yoga teachers and movement professionals, this workshop integrates physical therapy principles with mindful yoga practice to better serve hypermobile students. We’ll explore the spectrum of hypermobility, from benign joint hypermobility to conditions such as hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS); and learn how to recognize key signs in the classroom. Participants will gain practical strategies for sequencing and cueing that promote joint stability, strength, and proprioceptive awareness, helping to reduce injury risk and support longevity in movement practices.

You can receive 2 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Hours when you attend this workshop.

AJ White-Graff, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, E-RYT 500 is a physical therapist, experienced yoga teacher, and anatomy educator based in Long Beach, California. With over a decade of experience teaching yoga and fitness, AJ specializes in bridging the gap between movement science and mindful practice. Board-certified in orthopedic physical therapy and a certified strength and conditioning specialist, they bring a deep understanding of the aging body and a passion for making yoga accessible, safe, and empowering for older adults.
